Drive-in Hikichibashi is a long-time roadside restaurant located along National Highway 33 that connects Kochi and Matsuyama. The countryside restaurant with a traditional atmosphere has been loved by the local people since the end of the Meiji Period (1868-1912) for over 80 years. Sweet miso-glazed oden made with locally produced konjac, etc, thick soba noodles with wild edible plants imparting a strong presence, and amago trout on a skewer are famous. The local’s specialty mugwort manju sweets are popular as a gift and sell out quickly.
